STUDENT TAKING ACTION FOR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT or STAND for short, is YOTAN’s youth ambassador program designed to stimulate young people become active change makers to impact their communities. STAND brings together youth to define issues, train them in community unifying and advocacy, and lead them to create meaningful impact in their communities.
YOTAN believes that every young person has a unique voice and the ability to act and together, young people can increase their impact through teamwork, creativity, and a commitment to bring about positive change” as means of their social responsibility.
YOTAN through STAND, Employed activities such as community research, issue development, reflection, and direct action to increases youth civic participation, educate thousands of society’s most vulnerable youth adopt to positive behavior change and builds the individual and collective leadership capacity of young people.
Our aims are to inspire young people get involved in playing active roles in the development process of their communities and nation; making their voices heard by leading them to perform their civic duties, drive positive change in their communities and voice their concern on issues of accountability in education, health and development, social justice, and governance.
