YOTAN extends helping hand to over 30 underprivileged students in Gbarnga

Through the ENGAGE project — Empowering Next Generation of Adolescent Girls Through Education — YOTAN donated educational materials and tuition support to underprivileged girls in Bong County. The initiative, now serving more than 120 girls across Bong and Lofa, fights early marriage and teenage-pregnancy-related dropout by guaranteeing equitable access to quality education.

YOTAN, partner launch nationwide project on local governance

With grant support from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), YOTAN launched 'Strengthening Youth Engagement in Local Governance' — scaling work from Bong and Lofa to all 15 counties of Liberia. The project will build civil-society and citizen capacity to engage local decision-makers, advance fiscal decentralization, and launch the Liberia Accountability Meter Portal (LAMP).

YOTAN launches one-year project in Lofa County

YOTAN launched a one-year NED-funded project — 'Fostering the involvement of citizens in governance reform in rural Liberia' — across four districts in Lofa County. Built on Governance Commission recommendations, the project advances civic education, citizenship strengthening, reconciliation, and participatory democracy to support decentralization and good governance.
