Youth Leadership & Civic Action

Young people are powerful agents of change.

Through leadership development, civic engagement, governance training, and advocacy, we have trained emerging youth leaders, strengthened youth voices in local governance, promoted peaceful political participation, and supported youth-led solutions to community challenges across all 15 counties.

Girls' Education & Gender Equality

Education breaks cycles of poverty and inequality.

In partnership with Mundo Cooperante (Spain), YOTAN delivers programs including ENGAGE and Empowering Girls' Rights through Education in Rural Bong and Lofa, supporting vulnerable and out-of-school girls, ending child marriage, and advancing SDGs 4 and 5.

Peaceful & Resilient Communities

Sustainable development depends on peace.

Our peacebuilding initiatives promote youth participation in peacebuilding, strengthen community dialogue and conflict prevention, encourage civic responsibility and social cohesion, and support peaceful democratic participation.

Responding to National Challenges

Ebola Community Action Project (ECAP).

Through partnership with Mercy Corps Liberia, YOTAN ran prevention awareness campaigns, community education, and monthly KAP surveys across Montserrado, Bong, and Lofa, contributing to national efforts to curb Ebola and build community resilience.

Innovation for Accountability

Liberia Accountability Meter Portal (LAMP).

LAMP is a citizen-centered digital platform developed by YOTAN to monitor government performance, track public service delivery, enable citizens to report community issues, generate citizen-driven accountability data, and strengthen transparency and responsiveness in governance.
